Fabulous and Affordable Daily Makeup Look

I’m constantly searching for makeup products that not only achieve the look I want, but actually last all day and don’t break the bank! I’ve tried ipsy, birchbox, and fabfitfun boxes to experience new products for a small price. The truth is, I really hated sample sized stuff. It would get lost easily and if I really liked it, I hated that I would run out so quickly and have to search and buy a full size product. Also, I hated how many of those little tiny bags I had that I never really used. As for the fabfitfun box, I just wasn’t really satisfied with the items I received. They were just “okay” and it was a variety of different things that I didn’t necessarily want. I just wanted makeup and skincare. Period.

So after searching and searching for a subscription that would not break the bank, but also give me amazing makeup and skincare products and a lot of instagram ads smothering me, I FINALLY found and fell in LOVE with boxycharm. It’s the best makeup and skincare subscription I have every purchased and have continued to subscribe to. All of my favorite brands that I already use and new brands that I have discovered and fell in love with have come from my boxycharm boxes!

Okay, so I’ve titled this post “fabulous” and “affordable” because the products I use daily are fabulous and all the full size products are super affordable through the boxy charm box!! Like seriously, the Tarte Pro Glow & Blush palette that I use on the regular is $45.00 on Tarte’s site, BUT I got the full size pallet in my boxy charm box along with so many other makeup and skincare goodies for only $25 a month! I can’t recommend trying this subscription enough for people like me who love makeup and skincare and are into trying new products.

Now, to share my daily makeup look…

Here are the products I used and where to get them.

  1. Foundation: I used Supergoop CC Cream with SPF 35. I love that this not only color corrects, but protects my skin from UVA/UVB rays AND is a physical blocker – meaning made with ZINC so it will NOT cause me to break out! Chemical blockers ALWAYS break me out so I stay away from them at all costs! Get it here: Supergoop Daily CC Cream with SPF 35
  2. Contour: I use Too Faced Milk Chocolate bronzer to contour. I contour underneath my cheekbones and a little bit on my nose. I use a medium contour brush by Real Techniques for under my cheekbones and an itcosmetics concealer brush to contour my nose. Get it here: Toofaced Milk Chocolate Bronzer.
  3. Blush & Eyeshadow: I use the peach color called “Beat” for the apples of my cheeks and my all over shadow from the Tarte Pro Glow & Blush Palette. For the crease of my eyelids, I use “Solo”from the same palette. This was in my boxycharm box, but you can get it on tarte’s website here: Tarte Pro Glow & Blush Palette
  4. Eyebrows: I use 4 different products depending on the look and sometimes I use a combo of 2-3. For today’s look, I started out with the Maybeline Tattoo Studio Tint Pen which gave a natural look, then filled in with 2 different types of pen/pencils to achieve my finished look that I purchased from the Philippines, which I think is available on Amazon. The brand is Japanese and called K-Palette. One is a pen that has like a really soft, almost fur-like tip. It feels super silky when you apply it and it is more wet than other pens I’ve used. The other product is a pencil that I use to help define and fill in a little more. It comes with a spoolie to soften the look and brush your brows out.
  5. Eyeliner: I’ve recently been tightlining my upper lids and I love the look. Makes my eyes and lashes pop more. I’ve been using the Kat Von D Cake Pencil Liner that also came from a boxycharm box! It glides on super smooth. I like it a lot.
  6. Mascara: I’ve been using L’oreal’s Telescopic Carbon Black. I’m in love with the fact that this brush truly defines my lashes and adds some length and does NOT clump at all! Also, since the formula doesn’t seem heavy compared to a lot of wet, volumizing formulas, my curl of my lashes seems to stay curled all day (oh, and by the way, I use a tweezerman eyelash curler that I will never part with).
  7. Lips: I use Maybelline Baby Lips Dr. Rescue in Coral Crave everyday! Even if I use a lip color, I’m applying baby lips on top! 😘
